Wedding Poem
“To Love is Not to Possess” – James Kavanaugh
To love is not to possess,
To own or imprison,
Nor to lose one’s self in another.
Love is to join and separate,
To walk alone and together,
To find a laughing freedom
That lonely isolation does not permit.
It is finally to be able
To be who we really are
No longer cling to childish dependency
Nor docilely living separate lives in silence,
It is to be perfectly one’s self
And perfectly joined in a permanent commitment
To another–and to one’s inner self.
Love only endures when it moves like waves,
Receding and returning gently or passionately,
Or moving lovingly like the tide
In the moon’s own predictable harmony,
Because finally, despite a child’s scars
Or an adult’s deepest wounds,
They are openly free to be
Who they really are–and always secretly were,
In the very core of their being
Where true and lasting love can alone abide.
Thank you, Ema, for performing the wedding ceremony for my wife and I. It was a beautiful day, I couldn't have asked for anything different. I will definitely recommend you to others. Thanks Again. Sincerely Virgil and Bin
My wife and I cannot recommend Ema enough! When we first imagined our ceremony, we used words like intimate, personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. We weren't sure how we would find someone who could deliver what we imagined, but we were lucky to find Ema. Ema brought a warmth and love to our ceremony that we will appreciate for the rest of our lives. In fact, Ema was so wonderful, we both joked that if we ever get married again, we would both definitely hire Ema!
I cannot say enough great things about Ema! She made the entire process of planning our wedding so stress-free (we planned it from our home in Texas). We looked at many different officiants/elopement packages online, but something made us keep coming back to Ema’s website and webpage. I’m so glad we did! She was communicative with us, scheduled a phone conference to get our thoughts on how we wanted the ceremony, and she was extremely responsive via email. This made our communication across different time zones so much easier! Also - she gave us some good suggestions (what to bring, what not to bring, what to wear, how to wear our hair, etc.), so I encourage others to follow them! She knows what she’s talking about!!
Ema is such a kind, gentle soul. She truly made our special day the best day of our lives. In addition to officiating our ceremony, Ema also took our photographs. Her gift for photography was apparent, as she would indicate the lighting was good or bad, she would take shots with different angles, and she took us around the beach, the Bay, and the pier. It was clear to us that Ema has a gift for photography, as she was familiar with the area and knew exactly what she was doing.
Ema maintained a professional demeanor throughout our correspondence and encounters with her. I highly recommend her to help take care of your special day. She is the absolute best.
I highly recommend Ema! She is phenomenal! Mary Beth and I decided at the last minute to elope in San Francisco from Texas. Ema was so wonderful! She walked us through the process step-by-step and provided us with suggestions. All her suggestions were right on! She was quick to respond by any means (text, phone call, email) in regards to any concerns we had. She asked what we wanted and respected our wishes. She made our last minute elopement stress free! She prepared a beautiful ceremony. And her photos were stunning and she gave us all the time in the world to have our photos done! I am glad she was part of our wedding, as she contributed to making it absolutely perfect. Ema has experience and is down to earth. She is very warm, friendly and sweet, but also very professional. Thank you Ema for making our wedding day, special and the BEST day ever!
Ema was great. We both have had our share of pushy and over bearing person in the customer service field and although for lack of better words Ema and her services were great and she was very patient during our photo shoot. SF the bluff had very warm weather and I had a struggle will heels on the rocky pier(better planing on my part could’ve been done there) if you planing to on at The Bluff bring flip flops to change into during walks back and fourth. My now husband and I would book Ema for any wedding affair. She honest, patient and on time. We even talked about when we even discussed renewing vows already with her. Ema is awesome you won’t be disappointed.
