What makes an elopement different?
In my experience of witnessing many elopement weddings over the years. I would say the most notable difference of an elopement wedding ceremony is the intimacy that the couple experiences. The kiss is longer, they leave in their love bubble. When the hosting of a wedding is kept to a minimum the couple is embraced in their cocoon.
Often it is just the bride and groom together in the garden or on the beach. Sometimes they both have their parents with them. Others times just a few close friends. Whomever joins the couple for this very special day will experience something they haven’t experienced before. Something truly intimate and heart touching.
Wedding elopements have become more popular due to the romantic idea of running away and doing things perhaps less traditional. Couples like the idea of the ease and simplicity of focusing on their relationship rather than hosting. Many couples will celebrate with family and friends when they return home. Photography and or video make people feel like they were a part of your joy.
