Terms of Service

1. Services Provided

My SF Wedding, operated by Ema Drouillard, provides professional wedding officiant services, photography services, and wedding planning coordination throughout the San Francisco Bay Area including San Francisco, Marin County, and Sonoma County.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

• Payment Required: Payment is required to secure your wedding date.
• Payment Methods: We accept cash, check, PayPal, and major credit cards.
• Final Payment: Full payment is due 30 days before the event date unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
• Advance Payment: As payments are made in advance, there are no late payment issues.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Client Cancellation: Payments are non-refundable. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the wedding date may receive a partial refund at our discretion.
• Weather Cancellations: In case of severe weather making the ceremony unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule at no additional charge, subject to our availability.
• Vendor Cancellation: In the unlikely event we must cancel due to illness or emergency, we will provide a full refund or arrange a qualified substitute officiant.

4. Service Limitations and Expectations

• Travel: Services are provided within the San Francisco Bay Area. Additional travel fees apply for locations over 25 miles from Novato.
• Ceremony Duration: Standard ceremonies are planned for 15-30 minutes. Extended ceremonies may incur additional fees.
• Rehearsals: Wedding rehearsals are available as an add-on service and must be scheduled in advance.
• Photography: When photography services are included, edited photos will be available online within 2 weeks of your event date.

5. Venue and Permit Requirements

• Permits: Clients are responsible for obtaining any required venue permits unless otherwise specified in the service agreement.
• Venue Access: Clients must ensure vendor access to the ceremony location and provide any necessary vendor information to venue coordinators.
• Location Changes: Changes to ceremony location within 48 hours of the wedding may incur additional fees.

6. Liability and Force Majeure

• Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or public health emergencies.
• Client Insurance: Clients are encouraged to obtain their own event insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

7. Intellectual Property

• Photography Rights: When photography services are provided, we retain the right to use images for marketing purposes unless specifically requested otherwise in writing.
• Ceremony Scripts: Custom ceremony scripts remain the intellectual property of My SF Wedding but are licensed for the client’s personal use.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
