The couples who call me are often a little overwhelmed. They’ve been reading about permits and weather and photography timelines and venue fees — and they just want someone to tell them it’s going to be okay. That’s what I do.

I believe that a wedding ceremony doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Some of the most moving ceremonies I’ve officiated were just two people, a beautiful Bay Area view, and words that were true. The size of the guest list doesn’t determine how much the moment matters.
I also believe in being honest with couples about the Bay Area. That means telling you Ocean Beach gets brutal afternoon winds and isn’t ideal for ceremonies. It means pointing you toward morning ceremony times that most guides don’t mention. It means knowing which locations photograph beautifully and which ones don’t — and being upfront about that before you commit.
